"Tweaking" or simply disabling the adblue injection can be approved by manufacturers and this is being done in the U.S. currently. Doesn't affect the warranty, provided it's done by/approved by the manufacturer. As said by others (including Idle Wanderer) it doesn't affect performance either as it is simply used to treat the carcinogenic nitrous oxides in diesel exhaust fumes, not injected into the engine. This urea shortage is going to be around for years to come though, so it's in gov interests to speed things up
