The only way a Party will get into power in Australia is to get more votes than the Opposition.

30 years ago, Australians were resourceful and hard working, with modest tax levels and small government. They didn't sue one another, they didn't want the Government in their lives or their families telling them how to conduct their conversations or bring up their children. But things changed with Whitlam. And the people saw this and were appalled. Frazer was appointed to get things back on line but he was worse than Whitlam and did nothing. It has been all down hill from there. Getting elected now requires handouts to buy votes so Howard had to compete with Labor on this basis and then try to run a decent economy having made promises and deals he really did not want to make.

A very large section of the voters are on handouts or basic wages and they don't think much beyond the next weeks money. They look to Labor because it generally is more likely to give them more. Why wouldn't they. They believe they can't help them selves and therefore they can't. They are beggars on the Government/taxpayers.

This style of Democracy, of voters selecting a Party which has to rob the productive and provide handouts to buy votes is very destructive to the country.

And we are seeing this system failing all around the world.

And it is failing in Australia.

Power corrupts men, but men will get power in the wrong way and for all the wrong reasons. And as long as there are more Australians with a beggar state of mind than those with a self reliant state of mind, the Government will be appointed by the beggars to tax and hand out.

This country is on the road to being broke. In twelve months the financial landscape here will be desolate.

On both sides of politics, the people got what they wanted. Handouts, cheap interest, huge debt levels and finally, broke. Both sides of politics won power from hand outs.

Too many people found it was not acceptable to work and save when everything could be had by handouts and borrowing. Those who saved and waited were left behind. But it's all changing now.

Only when Australians decide to work and save and live within their means will we be able to appoint a like minded Government.

In the mean time Democracy of the beggars runs the country and anyone else has to hang on to what they have as best they can.

Rudds attack on international capital will be a total failure and will hasten the poverty of Australia. This will lead to the necessary changes to make this country great again.

    Bring it on.
