Is there a competition for how to begin the most useless political debate?

I've not seen one, but, my god I've seen some great contenders.

but, - one can never tell what one can make of a sow's ear I guess -

    let's try

Australia Is spiritually dead......that's why it's a hopeless basket case?

Australia --------- tis the land of no motto. That gives us a headsup into what 'might' be done to stimulate some kind of idea to turn a spiritless country into an actual nation

an idea which I fielded quite a while back was for a National pledge -

a pledge - something which is said by all Australians, to open things like council meetings, parliamentary meetings, said by all Aussies at the beginning of all sporting events.
Is said at the breakfast table, the dinner table, before meetings open - at the first class of day at schools, at the first lecture of the day at Uni
A pledge which sits on the wall of every boardroom in the country, on the wall of every CEO's office, in every government department across all levels of government - on the wall in black and white.

    etc etc

A pledge which states who we are, where we are and where we want to go and who we strive to be

a spirit and attitude and goal building mechanism
