Albanese and Marles appear to have jumped aboard Morrison's strategic alignment and subjugation of Australia with powerful US interests including weapons manufacturers.

When we toured China with an almost entirely American tourist party twenty years ago their anxiety was palpable as they masqueraded as Australians. We felt respected and safe throughput, they were never at ease.

Not any more, China is no longer even freely open to Australians - we're back to the pre 1972 era! Even our Kiwi cousins are beginning to look sideways at us.
