    Can anyone throw light on Aussie bank deposits
    Are they government guaranteed ???
    the USA I believe is up to US $100,000
    the UK is but not sure of the amount???
    So where do we stand if the unthinkable happens and one of our banks fails???
    comments invited as no mention by Swan or Rudd on this subject..... only our banks are sound ????
