The only contribution they made to the business world was to double rents and property prices thereby causing massive inflation. They made life hard for tenants and consumers alike.

Their valuation models are false and misleading. "Fair value" is considerably less than they paid for the properties, which they bid for with easy borrowings in a foolish scheme which was designed to fail.
