Hi Goblin, I concur.....I was recently at a pool party for Songkran where a multi national group of people attended. 3 drunk, loud, aggressive, Australian men created a scene offending a Thai man. It was embarrassing and I did not want to identify as Australian as I felt ashamed of their appalling behaviour, as visitors in a foreign land.
Australian society as a whole demonstrates the importance of multiculturalism and values diversity within communities. We are a plural society however, the values we are so proud of is diminished by a few bigoted, uneducated and boorish bogans. Shame on you.
