While its important to keep the boats stopped there is a cheaper way into Australian citizenship. We can all see it in front of our noses. Catch a taxi in any Australian city and your Indian taxi driver will tell you he is a foreign "student".
The scam works like this; Spivs all over Australia have set up bogus colleges. They teach dribble with meaningless qualifications. They are on the outskirts of the CBDs. A foreigner pays the spivs for a "course" at one of the bogus colleges and gets a student visa.
The spiv keeps the fee. The "student" drives taxis for a while then applies for permanant residency then citizenship and sponsors his family out.
