So many of you talk about Islam and the need to moderate, but as a catholic I take the ground that people's happiness is for them to decide. And finally, if we want to talk about religion, I would say Jesus was more of a socialist than a capitalist but I guess Bernardi would be Judas and say "Jesus do not turn that fish and bread into a feeding frenzy for thousands as you will make them dependent on welfare". So Bernardi to be blunt follows the parts of the Bible he likes and anything around fairness/equity he says not for me. Anyway the only time I will talk religion in response to your post.

Oh, and if we followed the old testament (and even aspects of the new testament) well there is quite a few blood thirsty aspects to it by the way. And we don't adhere to some those practices anymore by the way. If I had evil in my heart I could justify my actions by using some of the selective passages of the Bible which would be out of context to the central themes of the Bible which is to love your neighbour as yourself. As Bob Dylan would say the times they are changing so don't be selective.

Where did Bernardi say that born children are less loved if not conceived naturally? If he did say those words, I'll stand to be corrected.
