We have an "entitled society" that believes money grows on trees.
Those on welfare and any associated benefits believe that they not only deserve getting paid to do nothing but in fact they should get more.
The trouble with this large group of bludgers is they vote.
Hence they need to be pandered to by both sides of politics.
Get tough on them by mentioning that they may have to pay a little more to visit the doctor or that their entitlement may one day be investigated and you have uproar.
The greens aren't much better as they too want everything for nothing like renewable energy which only runs on subsides, open borders and its associated costs and to shut down every industry or business that takes place in the "environment".
Anyone, any business, any government will go broke if spending outstrips income.
Australia simply has too many precious "entitled" parasites feeding on the decaying carcass that is our budget.
