    "....Debt has little to do with government...."

    Current Federal Government debt is $424b.
    All of that debt was accrued by the Federal Government by decisions they made, (regardless of what anyone else was doing or the reasons for the debt).


    "....The debt has to increase...."

    Not in the context of percentage of budget burden for our Federal governments income. As long as debt accumulation is below inflation and growth, the debt can easily be paid off in the future.
    (Federal Government debt of over 100% of GDP dropped to less than 10% of GDP without any surpluses to pay down the debt.)


    "...The talk of getting back to government surplus here is a crock...."

    To manage debt, the government does not need a surplus ever, we have over a hundred years of Federal Government data to show this is a fact.
