The rot set in when the dairy industry was deregulated, thanks John (sell the farm off) Howard......... he did a Stirling job with Telstra as well.
Anyway back to the Dairy Industry.......... unfortunately for dairy farmers, Dairy Co-operatives allowed non-milk producing individuals or corporations to purchase shares in the Co-op and thus they lost control of the Co-op and their ability to set a price ......... bit like Governments selling Ports and allowing Irrigation Water to fall into the hands of Foreign Entities........... we can thank the Ruling Classes in our Governments for pretty well all the dumb ideas and structural problems.
