    squishy,

I read an article maybe 25 years ago about how QLD was settled and it was correlated with coral core samples that showed amongst many things, a period of 50 years prior to settlement that was much wetter.

The thrust of the article wasn’t about Climate Change although there is an implication there. It’s thrust was that QLD would have been settled in a very different fashion to how it actually was.

You could draw the same from Charles Sturt having to ditch the silver ore that he discovered somewhere in or around the Barrier Range (Broken Hill region) some 39 years before Rasp.

That earlier discovery would have made a significant difference as well to development........... as would it be different if Australia was settled before the US War of Independence.

All those historical events however, have differing weather events to other periods in their regional recorded history........... can’t seem to get those facts to resonate with the Climate Warriors ...... History for them only goes back as far as their immaculate conceptions.
