You think I am a one eyed git, read the results!!! They tell the story, we are 3 and a half years behind China and 3 years behind Singapore and we are well behind the standards of years before. Maybe people like you are part of the problem, you say your kids are more advanced than you, after reading most of your posts I am not surprised. There are many reasons education standards are dropping, but children are encouraged to get grades to go to university and more are going to university. When I went to school many dropped out after year 10 to get apprenticeships, work in banks, or go straight to the Army, so please don't make up stories to suit your narrative. I got a university education, but at the time it would have been no disgrace to leave earlier and there were many vocations that didn't even require you to go to year 10.
