That is close lockitt. I am wondering how they can title the announcement released on the 25th January, as such.
NEW NICKEL SULPHIDE DISCOVERY AT GOLDEN RIDGE, which was then sub titled by
22 metres at 1.02% Ni and 475ppm CU at Leo’s Dam Nickel Prospect.
DC media release on 24th of November 2008 says drilling confirms the Nickel Sulphide potential at Leo Dam prospect. In fact, they hit a lot of Ni.
In hole GRA0253 they got 70m of 0.6% Ni and 658ppm Cu. So, I am questioning, is this truly a new discovery. This is my main point. This was shelved at the time as the price of Ni was low and Golden Ridge was highly prospective for Au, and the focus went away from Ni.
Leo Dam is not a large area, to me the previous drilling must have already confirmed the dome theory, way back in 2008, when Pioneer Resources was called Pioneer Nickel. Anyone going to DC’s presentation tomorrow, perhaps could quiz DC on this.
Maybe the Ni hit wasn't a Ni sulphide, but one that indicates Ni sulphides may or should be present close by? If the 70m hit of Ni wasn’t sulphide what form was it?
