That is because Australia does not have an Australian Exchange yet (they only have brokers).
Coinspot is a Broker
Currently, Coinspot and other Brokers are making small profit on the variances in princes between them (Brokers) and Exchanges such a Bittrex (I simply move my wallet, like a HIN transfer, from Coinspot to Bittrex and then buy coins way cheaper on Bittrex).
