Very sad for the ABC - an organisation I used to respect.
The Perth Mint always delivered gold at better than 99.99% purity [ i.e. better than the bullion clearing houses' standards] but Four Corners somehow turns this into a doping scandal? Based on an anonymous tipoff from some disgruntled 'insider' and the opinion of a 'transparency advocate' [whatever that might be], who wouldn't recognise a compliant gold bar if it dropped on her foot.
It's a coordinated Left Wing political witch hunt aimed at the WA Premier, but with the real possibility of taking out the entire Australian gold industry as collateral damage..
