    mmm. ........... ABS is not for emergency stopping at all.
    It is to control skidding from overbraking and make braking more effective supposedly. Professional drivers prefer not to have it quite often.

    as for Autonomous stopping you suddenly to avoid hitting a roo, well............you have never driven on dirt roads or around roos and cattle.

    Hitting the brakes hard on dirt particularly if corrugated roads ends up usually running off the road/crashing. You don't emergency stop for roos.
    In fact its illegal to emergency brake in QLD for cats/dogs due to the accidents that occur as a result.
    For "Roos" you slow if possible and try to drive around that "probably" running "dodging" object. Dodge it as best possible is mostly best.

    Out of interest in 8 yrs of driving, my Jeep Grand Cherokee has never been hit [no bullbar] after 200,000klms of rural aussie roads and thousands of Roos.. Yet both my previous holden commodores and ford had many. Go figure!
