In Victoria we are sitting on a huge un allocated gas resource in the brown coal but the Andrews government spent $40 million of tax payers dollars to say there were no significant gas resources in Victoria.The old Hazlewood coal plant is in a perfect position to build a peaking gas plant with all the infrastructure already there and eventually that will need to happen as coal plants retire early.
