Since I posted that article I am going to respond.
we do in fact have a competitive advantage and we should be assisting Tindo to expand their manufacturing.
As I said they built the factory for $11 million and seem to be operating for 12 months now, and for their initial 150MW of panel production which would possibly do about 25,000 homes a years
Please explain to us all how a $1 billion investment in the same product is going to give the home owners(tax payers) cheaper panels when it is all tax payers money in the first place.
Someone is going to milk all that money for little return for the Australian people.
When governments invest huge amount of money into projects the public need to see the advantages of cost savings,...eg $275 off power bills
