I think there's just too much time to work nukes up for Oz
I think Australia wouldn't mind buying nuclear plant from South Korea. They started in the 1970's and have indicated that they are now in a position to help other countries in our region to build new plant and establish the required training and maintenance along with bureaucracy.
I think it unlikely that private enterprise would build one without Government assistance so it might be up to the Government controlled Snowy Hydro to do it. The way our market is currently set up if Snowy did start building them then private enterprise would most likely put a hold on their own new generation investment.
I'll never know because I'll be dead by that time.
Additionally if there is another nuclear disaster then the plans will be set back years as happened with the nuclear industry and Fukushima.
