Of the fifteen hundred or so entries ? For Australia's national tune we had to vote on a presented choice of four by the judges .

Advance Australia Fair to my understanding had been put up well before back in the fifties ?

Nothing to say we cannot change the tune again as most likely the judges of that time would have been still struggling with the Queen ?

The most obvious choice possibly and was presented was Waltzing Matilda.

The road to Gundgai was another from memory was touted and i think was surprising it never made the finals?

Do i like the tune now? I think its ok but if we change to a republic at some stage a new tune should go with it as well as flag .

And i love our flag but i can love a new one and a new tune it wont change me either.
