If theres ever world peace it def wont involve religion/dictators or even patriotism. Even if at the moment it seems like we are are in a time something akin to a Aldous Huxley/George Orwell vision/nightmare one would think human evolution hasnt stopped just the pause buttons been hit and at some point we'd realize we are all one. ie universal/collective consciousness.

If the idea's to 'hippy' (or whatever)then compare it to any religion that pushes the conventional idea of 'god'.... hardly any 'crazier'.

Sure it seems unlikely and the basic human nature of ego, self interest and greed would have to be eliminated but if its not seems very likely we'll eventually wipe ourselves out fighting over whose god has the biggest balls.

Excuse my late night existential ponderings but a great deal of threads lately have demonstrated a 'us and them' mentality and its hard to see the long term benefits of living like that/in fear.
