Chart of royalties from 2014 to 2023

Fascinating to note these facts as the NT goes to the polls.
The chart "Value produced of selected Territory minerals" shows the value of uranium in the dying years of Ranger.
It seems obvious that if mined Jabiluka production would be measured in $Billions for years and years benefiting the living standards of thousands of people in the NT and Australia.
Yet we know that a handful of Mirrar people have blocked Jabiluka and now PM Albanese has said it will never be mined.
What an opportunity for the opposition in the NT to say that if they are elected their policy will be to cancel the cancellation of Jabiluka and re-permit it for mining in what is just run-of-the-mill NT landscape of which there is zero shortage.
Thus giving another "point of difference" between Dutton and Albanese next Fed election.
    All too much to ask?
It seems likely the Mirrar triumph will win out - our politicians too timid to see the Jabiluka rewards reaped.
