maybe the whole thing has been over dramatised by the media but the photos and footage of both gillard and abbot showed there was a sense of angst among the afp.
they obviously thought the better part of valour was to usher them to safety.
the thought of political assassination in australia is abhorrent.
as for the egg throwing incident we have the original egg thrower to thank for the formation of the afp.
that all said its no excuse for people to target abbot and accuse him of starting this or being the cause of it. this isnt a laughing matter
