ASX Announcement13 August 2019ECS secures strategic investment in TapAgrico + distributionagreement with Eden FoodsECS Botanics Holdings Ltd (ASX:ECS, the Company) is pleased to announce a strategicinvestment into Tasmanian Agricultural Producers Pty Ltd (TapAgrico).TapAgrico is a strategically located grain handling, marketing, storage and export packingfacility in the northern midlands of Tasmania. The profitable business is locally owned andreceives substantial support from local growers including cereal and oilseed producers.ECS investment into TapAgrico comes at a critical time in the growth of the Tasmania’s hempindustry. The investment from ECS will fund the purchase of key infrastructure including ahemp seed dryer, storage and handling equipment which will underpin the expansion of ECScultivation along with other hemp producers in the state.ECS will invest an initial $750,000 in TapAgrico for a 28.4% stake in the business. In additionECS has been granted a call option to increase this stake to 34.6% on the same terms(assuming no changes to TapAgrico’s share structure).ECS Botanics CEO Alex Keach commented on the investment: “We are very excited to beworking with the TapAgrico team to execute on a shared vision and significant opportunity at atime when Tasmania requires key infrastructure and capacity to support the expansion of thehemp industry.“This investment enables ECS to position itself ideally for anticipated developments andgrowth in the local industry.” - Alex Keach
