Your ignorance is astounding. Obviously you have never owned a business that employs people.
Business owners put their nuts on the line every day, to say nothing about their house if they have one.

This legislation is a killer to small business. And it comes into play next month.

Scenario. Business employs 15 people. Chattel mortgages on equipment, and the owners have a personal housing liability as security for the bank.
Now the business will have to appoint a union delegate and meet the expenses of the delegate to attend union 'training'.
This delegate must be consulted on all major workplace changes affecting employees. Whether that be rosters, processes, disputes, performance management and/or disciplinary processes.
This delegate must be given office space and communications systems to do their work.
There is no stopping this delegate from sharing information with rival business delegates.
No more casual employment with 25% loading.
It will be dangerous to sack or retrench a delegate.
No doubt this delegate will be in continual communication with Trades Hall Council for "advice".

Who would own a small business with this level of union interference being law as of next month?
If you are employed in a small business, be scared, very scared.
