Dear oh dear. Had to go away for the weekend from mid Friday and couldn't join in the fun and games here.

So just been catching up on the posts and ..... well I ask you.

I think I might have suggested a couple of days ago that the announcement might not be all that dramatic or revealing.

I would agree with those who suggested that JK had to make some comment to :
(a) acknowledge that he was back
(b) make some comment on China since there was expectation amongst punters that there should be an announcement
(c) settle the nerves. Didn't taboon start suggesting on Thursday that perhaps there was bad news on the way.
(d) make it clear that these things take time.

I think it is absolutely over the top for suggestions that RAU is going to be subject to a Takeover bid by the Chinese mining company. I just do not see it and I challenge anybody who suggests so to come up with some valid reasons for the Chinese to want to.

What has RAU got that would be a reason for the Chinese to sink money in at this stage ? Burraga ?
Well IMHO Burraga has got a long way to go yet before it can be proven to be viable. Unless RAU is sitting on information that hasn't been released to the market there is no firm resource there yet.
There is potential - yes. But it has a way to go yet.
Maybe the Chinese will offer some financial backing once the project gets past a feasibility stage or thereabouts.

There will be further talks and passing of documents or information for some weeks yet I would guess. Some further drilling results from Burraga will be needed.
Why would the Chinese sign anything till there is something there that is viable and meets their requirements.

Remember JK said in a BRR back in April(?) that the Chinese wanted "continuity of supply" = they want to be able to get so many tonnes of whatever mineral (copper?) per year supplied for 10 or 20 or ?????

How can you give them that till you can guarantee that there is that resource there.

Come on - get real !

Yes JK was quite right to make the announcement - if only to clear the air and kepp everyone informed that things are progressing as fast as can be expected in the circumstances.

If only everyone would keep their feet on the ground instead of running around like headless chickens.
