if people have done wrong, they should be held to account. a line has to be drawn somewhere.

just think back to the My Lai Massacre in vietnam .

in local news there is a story, about a man, who was repeatedly tasered by policemen, in a police lock up - yeah - one man, in a lock up - with half a dozen police - and they had to repeatedly taser the man.... if the policemen involved, have done wrong - then they should be held to account ... just because people are policemen - it does not give them the right to do wrong - likewise in the army. If wrong has been done , then a line has to be drawn for no other reason, than to let soldiers know, that there is a limit, to what can be done. the reality is, that we are the invaders, and we are probably not wanted in the country.

what are we doing in Afghanistan anyway... the original excuse is well past the "used by date". karzai is the mayor of kabul - probably no more than what the head honcho was, when the ruskis tried to exert some influence .mmmmm there is a point, but there did not seem to be too many Afghanis getting into boats (trying to get to australia), when the ruskis were trying to control things.

Afghanistan seemed to be ok - about 30 or 40 years ago, when it was part of the hippie trial.

one way or the other, the truth needs to come out. we are occupiers in a foreign country - and if we do wrong, then that only builds up the hatred towards the occupier .

just pull the troops out - and that will solve all of our problems
