    Aflatoon, you ask why are were there. The answer is simple - Israel. 9/11 was payback for the Americans staunch support of Israel. Only way to appease the Muslims is to sort out the Palestinian situation/crisis otherwise we will continue to fight Israel's war. The Iraq Study Group recommended a similar policy but it was completely discarded.
