g48, there are two things that will happen. We either change the way we do business or such a change will be forced on us due to substantial economic pressures.
If we are forced then we lost an opportunity (another one).

US economists who matter should be concerned as the gravity of retirees leaving the workforce is pulling on the economy.
Same here; those who worry about 6% as a high unemployment benchmark aren't listening, watching or reading the signs. What is fast approaching is a new world order where we have low unemployment and mechanized work places in an effort to at least keep productivity at or near subsistence levels.
If our work force rules aren't loosened they'll be shredded at some point soon.
