Otherwise, contribute to the discussion of values and forget the politics.
This is a good time for the country to contemplate it's values. To think about what we want for ourselves, our nation and the next generation.
I recall in my parent's day, one of the key Aussie values was to do with ensuring that everybody, including the next generation, got a fair go. It wasn't about wishing and hoping they got a fair go, it was about doing whatever needed to be done to ensure it.
Well that has totally disappeared, as we busily spend on our own benefits and rack up national debt that will fall on the shoulders of the next generation.
