Australians are on track to be taxed like never before - Economic Management

Would be interested in some discussion around tax rates in Labor vs Liberal brought up in this article.

The infographic below demonstrates a similar argument that the Liberal Party in general tax Australian's more than the Labor Party.

Are there any relevant nuances here or has the Liberal party line that "Labor = Tax" just been a baseless lie?

Supplementary to this I've read a number of articles that Labor governments consistently fair better on various different economic metrics than their Liberal counterparts.

    See:

    https://www.michaelwest.com.au/the-big-breather-why-australias-economy-now-ranks-outside-the-top-20/ https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/mar/09/labor-v-liberal-who-best-runs-the-australian-economyhttps://www.theguardian.com/business/grogonomics/2016/jun/14/new-research-abbott-and-turnbull-the-worst-economic-managers-since-menzies

There is also the debt to consider which you could argue begun accumulating under the Rudd-Labor government in 2009 in response the the GFC but impossible (as far as I'm aware) to argue that successive Liberal governments have done anything but add to it. I'm aware of the argument that debt isn't necessarily bad it just depends what it is spent on. Rudd spent his debt to bail us out of the GFC. What has this Liberal government spent their debt on? Is it/was it worthwhile?

What is a well-reasoned case backed up by evidence and statistics (not slogans & ideology) that the Liberals are better economic managers than the Labor Party? I'm really interested in some robust discussion on this topic.

Note: I'm aware that some may perceive the publishers of these articles as biased but they were the only ones I could find that use evidence over time to develop their arguments. If there are other quality articles that develop a contrary argument, link them, I'd be interested in reading them.
