    Are we racist? I don't think in the majority we are. I think we are just had a gut full of discourteous immigrants who don't ever intend to become "Australians" by nature.

    Communication by language has been a basic requirement for eons, so it's not surprising that a person in an English speaking country gets jack of immigrants or "new Australians" speaking Asian on public transport.

    Where did the saying "When in Rome" come from? Was it dreamed up with no meaning behind it? I doubt it. And the same argument can be used globally. English getting yabbered on a bus in Italy or anywhere whose national language isn't English.

    BUT English is the international language so that's one thing in it's favour. English speakers not understanding what is being said feel excluded, unsure and isolated.

    Notice how so many people wear headphones these days. It's to block out exactly what I'm talking about.
