Most Aussies are very uncomfortable talking about race. We tend to over-compensate and let issues go that we wouldn't accept from an Anglo.... for fear of offending... or is it fear of being accused of being offensive? Probably a bit of both. Visit/read about other countries eg France, UK, USA. They have huge racial problems. Even Malaysia where Chinese face massive employment discrimination.
Aussies are very tolerant, accepting and relaxed. We have massive immigration program and it hardly makes the news. If we are racist, why do non-whites/Asians bust their guts to get Aussie residence? I worked for a small Korean company in QLD. Never heard racism mentioned in any conversation.
