Oh come on debono you know what it means. It is the true midpoint with half of all people's gross incomes being higher and half of all peoples gross incomes being lower.
Unlike the average income which is much higher because it is heavily skewed by people on very very high incomes.
So median reflects the midpoint of what people's income is while the average does not.

Yeah but it is pretty meaningless imo, same with averages but I now see what you are getting at . Averages are more misleading as to what the most people earn.
