That's the thing about these kinds of events. People play the "slippery slope" game where they fantasise extremities to justify their original stance.

Reality is, life will go on. You will (assumingly) not marry someone of your own gender, and nothing in your life will change. It will carry on like nothing ever happened.

For the gay people, they will be able to finally marry. This impacts them, this has absolutely zero impact on you.
