Or . . . you can do what I did years ago. I set up a personal Super Wrap with Netwealth. Not only can I buy most Australian shares (they have caps - eg. no more than 30% in speculative stocks) - but I can buy from 7 overseas exchanges as well. Currently I hold in my super: Wheaton Precious Metals and Franco Nevada (Toronto Exchange) - both gold/silver streamers. Polymetal International (huge Russian gold operation in Russia and Kazakhstan) trading on the London Exchange. Also Agnico Eagle Mines (TSX), and Newmont - NY exchange. I love the flexibility to hold major international companies not listed on the Australian exchange. More diversity. A little currency risk, but hey, I'm prepared to run with it. I have no affiliation with Netwealth, nor hold any of their shares.
