In terms of journalism I would hardly call Tingle "Australia's best".

Here's another example of her seeming propensity for unthinking utterances. On the 7:30 report just over 2 years ago, as the ABC's Chief Political Correspondent, she offered this gem:

The February 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine "is an existential threat to the way the world has worked for the last few decades." She appears to think it's okay to just make up nonsense on the spot.

(Plus she kept referring to Ukraine as "the Ukraine": many Ukrainians consider it an insult when people refer to their country as though it were merely a geopolitical region rather than a sovereign state.)
