Now - those two big ideas - don't lie well in the same bed at all - not at all.
So, let's test it --------
Dudd's big nuke plan ---------- let's take out the easy stuff - let's wave a magic wand and come up with the money - poooof - here's half a trillion - by the hope gang - that should be enough so
money - done
locations - wave the magic wand - done
the nuclear ban - a doddle - wand - done

now -- 'how?'
Well what do we need to build the magic nuke fleet? ---------- here's a few things
1. a lot a lot a lot of chemists -
2. chuck in some nuclear physicists- they haven't got much to do atm
3. nuclear specialists like welders etc (and, no - it's just not a quick weekend course)
now these chemists and physicists etc --
have we got them in Oz? No
can we make them? Yeah - but, it takes a long time and if we bake our own - they won't have experience - oh, and during training, they'll need placements - in nuke plants
can we buy them in - foreign ones? Well, lotsa luck with that one - the French have over 3/4 of a century in the industry and they can't buy them in atm - the demand is so big
now buying them in has a bit of a problem for Dudd's first big plan - cutting immigration ----------- it's kinda mysterious how he would have to bring in a HUGE nuclear workforce BUT, at the same time, CUT immigration ----
so, if that clash is to be avoided - we'd have to do the whole show in house - which would mean growing our own - which means a full Uni time - plus allowing them to head OS for ? 10 years or so for experience and then head on back to Oz (lotsa luck there) to begin Dutto's big nuke plan ------ so, the start date would be about ? maybe 16 years time -------- with a build time of?? 10 years if lucky - all up -- 26 years to completion.
so, the finishing date having the magic nukes on the ground would be - about
2050
and by that time - the power situation in Oz and the coal issues - would be history
not really something that the Dudd backers would want to be questioned on
