My 2 cents on Qld and its coastal properties. The 'old white shoe brigade' must be in their graves or close to by now, if any are left. I'm guessing the majority of old kids who inherited those props would have sold as quick as a wink, just grab the money and run. Another problem has been the crime, it must have been a big deterrent to anyone interested in property. The QLD govnut's recent clamps down on biker gangs should have a huge positive impact. (note I am guessing same gangs will move into NSW and SA so watch out, where they decide to make their new homes.) In summary, I expect the coastal props will make a comback in a big way, smart investors will be on the lookout. Plus the fact the global warming bullshit will be challenged quite easily in courts, so it will be back to the good old days. cheers
