You do realize that when it come to Gas these overseas countries are equity/debt partners in the project and helped underwrite the construction and as part of the contract they lock in a certain % of production to ensure that secure supply for their markets/countries.
Not their fault the retards in our state and federal Govts don't do same. Vic has plenty of known gas targets but Andrews and co would not let them be developed and put bans in place. Its an own goal.
As for gold so what, its got no use other as an alternative storage of wealth and for jewelry and electronics etc. No gold standard.
