Anyway, I find your list of questions interesting in that if you actually knew anything about the electricity grid you would already know the answers. So there's my first hint of how little you know. You won't learn much getting your information from angry old white male shock jocks. And the occasion Australian female one.
1. Yes, the interconnector will be busy supplying power to SA as it has done for decades. Well before renewable energy became a thing. It provided power back in the day because SA's fossil power couldn't do the job.
These days it's becoming an important link in power exports from SA to the east coast. It and the new SA/NSW connector will be very important in providing even more power from SA to the east coast as new SA generation is built.
2. 40 degree days ? It seems you haven't heard of solar power ? It's this wonderful new technology that works really well when it's sunny. Like those 40 degree days you were talking about. So well in fact that it can drive the midday price down to almost zero ( duck curve anyone ? ). It's getting that cheap to build that we can put in heaps more of it and combine it with storage to look after those shoulder periods in the early morning and late evening. Thus taking the load off those old coal burners that really struggle in the heat and breakdown.
3. Further brownouts ? Not sure what the power is like in the cubby house but I haven't experienced brownouts at all . And, the real experts , not the hc ones, are on to that already. Batteries, condensors, demand side management techniques are all being incorporated into the grid as I type. That is probably not reported on SKY after dark as it wouldn't suit the agenda of the paid trolls.

No longer will we have to worry about a big clunking coal burner falling over in the heat. We will have generation and storage widely distributed so that the grid will be even more stable than it has ever been. You might find that the power is off in your area and you won't even know thanks to local generation and energy storage.
5. Cutting and pasting ? You mean how I find information and provide it to the forum so that we can discuss it ? It's funny because each time I do that, I find the coal trolls go missing. They don't want to discuss the new technology and how it might be integrated. Instead they just post words like " cult " , " loony greenies ", " climate alarmist ", " greta " and " religion ".
So, old mate. You have offered no argument as to why renewables shouldn't be part of the grid. You've repeated some standard stuff from the troll handbook and going on your questions, you've clearly demonstrated you have no idea about what is going on with the grid today and how it is evolving right in front of your squinty eyes.
The rest of us that take an interest in these things and bother to spend the time to do a bit of homework are clearly better informed. But hey, if you want to keep embarrassing yourself by asking primary school level questions, go right ahead.
