Also very interested in the Narryer project (IGO JV and carried earn in) - it is huge and sits neatly on that terraine on the NW edge of the craton. Not ignoring the other projects either but Copper Wolf and the high grade graphite are standouts.

For others, I may have posted this reference to the process of manufacture of spherical purified graphite (SPG) on BUX before, maybe worth another read anyhow.
    https://www.northerngraphite.com/_resources/media/SPG-Summary-2.pdf

The graphite flakes are 'bent' to be part of the spherical bead - in doing so the layers of graphite are exposed so Li ions can penetrate and be stored in the anode when the battery is charging. You need the electrical energy to force the ions in, and the voltage to hold them there. That is when the battery is charged.
The ability of a graphite source to achieve this defines it value to the battery industry - purity is vital because foreign ions just stuff up the process.

At the end of the discussion you will read about the need for battery makers to rely on proven SPG from known mines and known manufacturers.
That is a hurdle for any newcomer to overcome.
IMO Australian authorities and research organisations will be well informed about this and an Australian 'brand' of SPG may emerge.

The further up the value chain you go, the better IMO.
