You know Caesar a lot of my friends regard me as a real lefty ,you'd probably be surprised at what I actually support in my private life. I'm not right of centre at all ,but different times require different strokes.

The problem for Abbott is that they never explained to the electorate that all the promises bequeathed by Gillard ,the gifts to the States ,Gonski ,NDA etc were completely unfunded.

When Pyne had the stink over Gonski, Abbott should have dug his heels in and had it out there and then ,but he wimped it ,I think he possibly figured that it was too early in his tenure to start coming across as a baddie because he would have copped a bucketload.

They still haven't attempted to explain it to the electorate ,and there's only a few journos in the Australian that have piped up with the truth ,which no one adversely affected reads anyway.

So yes his strategy has been poor ,he needs to find a way through,but these things are hard to explain in simple terms
