    The amount of batteries and cable required are massive for this project.

    However, it is backed by the major shareholder of AGL, Mike C-B. A billionaire who seems to be turning AGL around from its decade slide into obscurity...

    We kinda need it sooner rather than later here in Darwin.. Our gas fired powerplant,
    Channel Island power station present capacity is 250+MW. Of that, 100MW is relatively recent open cycle gas plant whilst the rest is a mix of
    old (1980's) open and combined cycle plant that's planned to be progressively closed during the period 2027-30!

    Nuclear can't get here fast enough to save us.

    (Not that it was planned to!)

    However, Sun Cable can, hopefully.
