This is my lot on where banks think they operate and where they actually operate.
Banks and by banks I mean the people at the top think they operate on an absolute mandate to make more and more profit to get more and more bonuses and to supply more and more money to those big institutional investors with which they deal.
They think this mandate puts them completely above and beyond any conception of the community and social responsibility which has been very evident during the Royal Inquiry.
Where they actually operate is within a community of people living and working hard to make a good living.
Banks have been given a very protected special spot in our communities when times get tough for them. They know this and trade on that fact by continieuly telling us they will go broke if there is an inquiry or they will go broke because of increased cash reserves.
This is just propaganda from the 1950's along the same vein as if you dont give big business big tax cuts then the country will go broke right now. It hasnt and is unlikely to do so because of a lack of tax cuts for big business. Trickle down economics does not and will not work because it is trickle up not down, all the money comes from the people and goes up not down.
They trade in our communities but without the community ethics that most people seem to have. They are out of luck now because the people are waking from a long forced coma about what and who these organisations benefit.
Imo the banks probably did a deal to have an inquiry so long as this current government gives them a big permanent tax break.
Neither this government or these banks imo have been working for the betterment of the people and that is all there is. When the people have more money they spend more and the whole world grows. Its just these *&^%**( want it all and they want it all now.
The people are the only economy everything comes from that.
