This corvid-19 Recession and the defacto Aus-China trade war will cruel
our economy for a Generation unless we vote in some decent politicians
who have the guts to plan our way back to normal growth rather than leaving that
to the "Market" which is dominated by self-serving Multinationals.

Doing nothing is a political decision and we have a Commonwealth Government
in crisis management mode because we dont have a long term economic
plan which under the current circumstances could be tweaked and if neccessary
accelerated to counter the current recession.

Instead we have a mob of Machiavellian politicians whose sole objective is to get into power
and stay there with whatever it takes. Perhaps we should have a two term limit for all our politicians
which would minimise political careerism and discourage decades of corporate sponsorship of a chosen
politician.(our man in Canberra)

Big Business is absolutely against the Australian Government having a long term economic plan because
so long as we dont have such a plan, the vacuun gives the Multinationals the opportunity to call the
economic shots.This is why we have had recurring budget deficits (increasing Soverign Debt) since 2013
with a self serving Government changing PMs 3 times and claiming that they "are better money managers"
If they were managing a corporation, it would be bankrupt by now!

Had we reduced the national dept (Comm-State & Muni) to zero we would be in a good position to withstand
this recession but instead we are entering The Recession with $1.2 Trillon combined Government debt;
again a failure to plan.( a variation on Cool Hand Luke...."What we have here is a failure to Calculate ")

Again thank you for your post Lapdog and just disregard the colour blind mugs who only see black & white

There is so much I disagree with in your post Mick but one statement in particular you must have fired from the hip in frenzy........

Even on the ABC, It is heard regularly that business organisations are and have been almost pleading
with governments Lib. and Lab over many years to undertake some strategic planning.
Consider the current situation ..
how much less of an impact would Covid have, had more planning been undertaken not specifically for a pandemic but a holistic approach.
The education system is a systemic failure for a start and from that the wider calamity of poor planning has bogged us in the mire in which we stick.
