Nyobolt partners with CALLUM toslash EV charging times

Nyobolt is planning to slash electric car charging time to minutes as itunveils its partnership with design and engineering business, CALLUM.

Nyobolt is bringing its patented fast-charging battery technology to theworld of electric vehicles. Through the CALLUM partnership, it will reset thebar on what fast charging means with charging time set to be slashed from up toone hour, down to just a few minutes.

Expanding its patented battery technology to the automotive industry,Nyobolt is set to present a complete rethink to the sector with batteries nolonger the limiting factor in electric car development.

By unlocking the potential of battery performance, Nyobolt has created atechnology that is manufacturable and scalable right now and will makerecharging as convenient as refuelling a petrol or diesel car.

To achieve this technological breakthrough, Nyobolt’s world leading teamhas taken a systems-level approach in developing fast-charging, high-powerbattery solutions.

With CALLUM’s established automotive design and engineeringcapabilities, as well as its in-house engineering facilities in Warwickshire,the companies will collaborate on projects that incorporate this patentedbattery technology.

The first automotive concept, which demonstrates how the technology canbe utilised in passenger vehicles, will be unveiled in June this year. It hasbeen designed by revered car designer Julian Thomson – now design director atGeneral Motors Advanced Design Europe – with the concept developed and executedby CALLUM.
