"It" - that is China's non-shooting war with the west and Australia started long before "Barley" last year. Numerous cyber attacks (recently running at 1 every 8 minutes) I heard on news. The South China Sea fortified reefs and islands building - years of armed incursions against Taiwan, aggressive incursions against Japanese Islands. Just a few.
One of the first obvious red flags for Australia was before the 2008 Beijing Olympics there was a torch rally in Canberra disrupted by multiple coach loads of Chinese students & thugs bussed in. We should have woken up then to the amazing 5th column in our midst in our Universities.
